The Message of Salvation: Are We Ready?

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog! I am glad you’re here today. In today’s post, we will focus on a special message of salvation and explore the scripture of Genesis 11:1-9.

I was reflecting on my last article about Overcoming Darkness: Embracing Light in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. During this reflection, the Lord impressed upon my spirit a powerful message. It was about His return to a world steeped in sin. He placed this message on my heart. Today, I am sharing with you the truth of His coming.

The Message

We are living in the final days. While the end of the world is not imminent yet, we are moving closer to it each day. There are still many hearts that must open to Christ and accept Him as their Saviour.

The Lord’s return is drawing near, but His coming will be marked by chaos and darkness. It is the responsibility of the Church of Christ to spread the knowledge of His imminent return. They must also convey the urgency of His message to the people of God.

We are in the last days, and the world is heading down a path that is not in alignment with God’s will. It is time to repent for our sins and seek the freedom that comes only through God.

We must remain rooted in God and demonstrate our love for Him through our actions.

The World is Coming to an End:

The world is nearing its end. It may be easy to stir up chaos in our world today. However, the return of Christ will not be so effortless. He is coming with fierce judgment to hold the world accountable for its sins.

The Lord is coming!

Are you ready for His return?

Prepare your heart for His coming.

In a world gripped by disorder and rampant disobedience, His return is near.

Jesus Christ is coming back for His Church, but is His Church prepared to face His wrath? The very Church He formed with His hands – are we truly ready for His return?

Darkness covers everywhere, and we live as though we have forgotten His image, living for ourselves, not Him. We disrespect His image.

Christ is coming back – are you ready for His return?

The commissioners He has appointed – are you ready for His return?

The Church is in turmoil – are you ready for the coming of the Lord?

The light of this world – are you ready for Him?

The true light of the world is returning. Have we prepared for His coming?

Are we ready for the Lord’s return?

The true light of the world is coming.

Salvation is Coming:

Salvation is on the way. Are we truly ready to receive it? John the Baptist called the people to repentance, but redemption comes only from the Lord.

Have you prepared your heart for His redemption? The Lord’s return is near—are you ready for His coming?

Will you be ready when He arrives? Prepare your heart for His return. He is the Lord of lords, the King of kings.

Worship Him with all your heart and serve Him faithfully.

He is coming!

His message of salvation is being preached to the world.

The Message of Self-Centredness

The story of the Tower of Babel offers a powerful divine warning to the world. It reminds us of the impending second coming of Christ. In Genesis 11:1-9, the passage conveys that God’s judgment is approaching, urging us to reflect on our selfishness in Christ. It serves as a stark reminder of our need for humility and repentance before the Lord.

In His image; God created them; male and female (Genesis 1:27). As His image-bearers, we have been entrusted with the responsibility to live according to His principles. If we live as though we owe no one an explanation for our actions, we are disobeying God. We are disregarding the very essence of our creation. To be made in God’s image means we are called to reflect His character and live by His commands.

We become self-centred when we focus only on our own desires. We build our lives around our personal rules and aspirations instead of God’s. This selfishness breeds division rather than unity. Our self-centredness stems from the absence of God’s love within us, creating division instead of unity.

The love of God is what should bind us together, but when we live for ourselves, that love is absent. Without love, we build walls of separation instead of bridges of connection. This is exactly what the people were doing when they attempted to build the Tower of Babel. They constructed something that ultimately led to their downfall.

As God’s image on earth, we are meant to represent His love and unity. But when we neglect this responsibility and become self-centred, we are building a city with a tower of self-destruction. It’s a tower that lacks love, which is central to God’s character. In this world of greed and loneliness, we’ve lost sight of what it means to truly be His image.

To reflect God’s image, we must live by love, not self-interest. But instead, we see a world fractured by division. We continue to build our own towers of Babel—without God at the centre. His love is absent in our hearts.

Reflecting God’s Image: A Call to Authentic Worship:

We live in the world, but do we truly live in Christ? In Genesis 11:1-9, humanity sought to build a city with a tower that reached the heavens. Their actions were driven by pride and a desire to make a name for themselves. But in Genesis 12:1-3, God calls Abram to leave his country, his people, and his father’s household. God promises to make his name great. This promise reminds us that it is God who elevates us, not our own efforts.

In our journey of faith, it’s essential to remember something important. God’s image upon us gives us true elevation. It is not the image we create for ourselves. We live in Christ to sustain and elevate us. It is by His principles that our names are made great, rather than man’s principles. God created us in His own image. This raises a profound question: What are we doing with that image?

Does altering or distorting our image reflect our reverence for the Creator, God? Does it suggest that His image is somehow insufficient? Are we, perhaps unknowingly, sending a message that His image is not good enough? This act of changing our image can be seen as a form of disrespect towards the divine image of God. Are we disrespecting the very image of God by seeking to change it? What does that say about our worship of Him? Are we implying that God is incapable of creating something good?

When we alter our image, we also alter our relationship with God. It is not the world that changes us; rather, we are meant to change the world with our worship. But we are the ones changing the world through our false worship. Often, out of ignorance, we do things without understanding their implications. If we truly worship God in spirit and in truth, His image on us should be cherished and accepted. We should not reject or modify it.

In Genesis 3:22-23 (AMP), the Lord says, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), knowing good and evil. And now, he might stretch out his hand, and take from the tree of life, and eat and live forever”—so God sent Adam away from the Garden of Eden to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.”

So, children of God, what are we doing to the image He has given us?

The story of the Tower of Babel illustrates a time when the entire world shared a single language and a common purpose. They were united by the phrase “Come, let us…” (Genesis 11:1-4).

At its core, this unified language represents self-centredness—people striving to make a name for themselves. But everything we do and say should be for God’s glory, not our own. Our lives should reflect His greatness, not our own ambition.

In Genesis 11:7, God steps in to disrupt humanity’s effort to construct the Tower of Babel. He confuses their language, effectively curbing their prideful ambitions. This act highlights God’s supreme authority. It serves as a reminder that genuine unity and purpose are achieved by aligning with His will. It is not achieved by seeking personal glory.

Key Points:

Living in the Final Days: The world is moving closer to its end. Many hearts still need to open to Christ. They need to accept Him as their Savior.

Responsibility of the Church: The Church of Christ must spread the knowledge of His imminent return. The Church must also convey the urgency of His message.

Repentance and Freedom: It is time to repent for our sins and seek the freedom that comes only through God.

Judgment and Accountability: Christ’s return will be marked by fierce judgment to hold the world accountable for its sins.

Self-Centredness and Humility: The story of the Tower of Babel serves as a divine warning. It reminds us of the need for humility and repentance before the Lord.

Reflecting God’s Image: As God’s image-bearers, we are called to reflect His character. We must live by His commands. We should not alter our image or relationship with Him.

The message of salvation is clear: Christ is coming back, and we must prepare our hearts for His return. We live in a world gripped by disorder and disobedience. Therefore, it is crucial to worship Him with all our hearts. We must also serve Him faithfully. The true light of the world is returning, and we must be ready to receive His salvation.
